The Pen Pal ✉️ — Monthly Investment in Handwritten Connection

Real letters. A little more belonging.

Writing with Wela is a welcoming space for people who love handwritten words, thoughtful reflection, and the pleasure of finding something meaningful in the mailbox.

The Pen Pal is your investment in handwritten connection: a handwritten letter and a personally curated mailer each month. It costs $75/month, billed monthly as a recurring subscription.

What arrives each month

• A handwritten letter from Wela.
• A curated selection of bookish, journaling, and lifestyle items from small, independent businesses.
• Thoughtfully chosen pieces inspired by the interests and stories you share in our correspondence. Contents vary from month to month.

Your first mailing

Your first mailing ships 7–10 days after you subscribe. This is the time until dispatch, not delivery; postal transit time is additional.

A community taking shape through writing

I’m building Writing with Wela one shared story and one envelope at a time. The Pen Pal offers a way to participate through correspondence by mail, with room to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the written word.

Your investment supports the time, care, and goods that go into each mailing. It is not a promise of a personal relationship, an in-person membership, or access to member gatherings.

You don’t have to buy anything to belong

If a monthly investment isn’t right for you, you’re just as welcome to join my free newsletter for letters, reflections, and community updates. There’s no pressure to become a paying member.

Whether you join through the newsletter or receive mail from me, I’m glad you’re here.

With warmth,
Wela
