There's something I've always believed: the most important things in life are rarely said out loud.
They get buried under the noise of notifications, the scroll of feeds, the rush of everyday life. And somewhere along the way, we stopped writing them down.
I started writing letters because I needed to. Not as a business idea — not at first. I started because there were people in my life I loved deeply, and I didn't know how to tell them. A phone call felt too quick. A text felt too small. But a letter? A letter gave me time to think. Time to feel. Time to say the thing I actually meant.
The first letter I ever sent wasn't perfect. The handwriting was a little shaky, the words a little clumsy. But the person who received it kept it. They told me later they read it more than once.
That's when I understood what a letter can do.
It doesn't disappear into a thread. It doesn't get buried in an inbox. It lives somewhere — in a drawer, in a box, in the pages of a journal. It becomes something you can hold.
Writing with Wela was born from that belief. That connection is worth slowing down for. That the people we love deserve more than a quick reply. That somewhere out there, someone is waiting for a letter that says: I see you. I'm thinking of you. You matter.
And that someone? That's me. Writing to you.
Every month, I sit down and I write. Not a template. Not a form letter. A real letter — with real words, real feeling, and real intention. Because you deserve that.
I'm so glad you're here.
With love,
Wela 🖊️
